Following the success of his previous singles "Lemonade" and "We the People," Jamie returns to radio with a brand new track from his upcoming album, "A Firm Foundation." With music and lyrics by Jamie Carol and produced by Scott Leader, "In the Blink of an Eye" takes the listener on a nostalgic journey from young adulthood to older age, encouraging us to live and experience life to the fullest.

"I was inspired to write this song as I started to see the beginnings of gray in my hair," Carol said. "Remembering the great times I had in my childhood and constantly wishing I could grow up faster, I now think what I wouldn't give to go back and live some of those times again."

Jamie originally comes from the world of opera and classical music, singing tenor roles with opera companies across the United States as well as in Europe. But all through his life, his heart remained with country music.
